Do Good

Join Our Mission to Improve the Community

At Alternatives Beauty™, we believe that beauty is more than skin deep — it’s a powerful tool for healing, self-expression, and self-worth. We are on a mission to uplift and empower minority women and children facing some of life’s toughest challenges.

Our programs provide education, confidence-building beauty services, and emotional support to those who need it most — including domestic abuse survivors, children in foster care, and women recovering from illness or trauma.

Our workshops are designed with empowerment in mind. We believe everyone should feel good when they look in the mirror. Feeling good is an important step towards self-confidence and embracing one's power.

Why Choose Us

Our founder, Tesha, knows these struggles intimately. A foster child for 9 years, separated from her siblings and having lost her mother to domestic violence, Tesha turned to hair styling as a way to earn money, gain confidence, and begin healing. That experience fuels our commitment today:

  • to offer free to low-cost workshops
  • one-on-one beauty care

Every donation — whether supplies or financial support — helps us reach someone who needs to feel seen, valued, and beautiful again. Help us give confidence, connection, and skills to those rebuilding their lives.
